The Index building is an 86-storey office tower located in the Dubai Financial District that, has 25 levels of office space, 5 levels of parking, retail and other services and 520 residential apartments and penthouses. - The tower has been designed to minimize adverse climatic effects on the building. It is orientated so that the East and West cores shelter the floor plates from the intense heat of the sun in this region. Sun shades are used on the South facade to minimize the effect of solar gain. - The design features a fully glazed double height sky lobby in between the offices and apartments. Facilities such as a swimming pool, gym, bars and restaurants are accommodated on this recreation deck. - There are 25 levels of office accommodation and 47 floors of residential apartments held within this structure.
