Abu Dhabi is the capital city of the United Arab Emirates and is ruled by HH Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. Abu Dhabi City lies on a T-shaped island extending into the Arabian Gulf.
An estimated 1.55 million people live in the emirate of Abu Dhabi. It is one of the worlds largest producers of oil, with an estimated 9% of the worlds known reserves of crude oil. It has actively attempted to diversify its economy in recent years through investments in financial services , real estate and tourism. Abu Dhabi has initiated a 2030 Strategic Plan which aims to transform the UAEs capital into a world class city.
