| The Emirate of Ajman is the smallest of the seven Emirates and is situated on the southern coast of the Arabian Gulf, stretching 16 km, between the emirates of Umm al Quwain and Sharjah. The area of the emirate is 259 km2, which is equivalent to 0.3% of the UAEs total land area. Ajman is composed of two sections, Masfut an agricultural village located in the Hajjar Mountains, 110 km to the southeast of the city. The other prominent area of Ajman is Manama and it lies approximately 60 km to the east of Ajman City.
Ajman is witnessing a boom in its real estate sector that is positioning it as the UAEs cheaper alternative for residential and business investments. Ajman was the second emirate after Dubai to introduce freehold property in 2004.
